What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Log Files

Like many other Web sites, The Thrifty Freckles makes use of log files. These files merely logs visitors to the site – usually a standard procedure for hosting companies and a part of hosting services’s analytics. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is used to analyse trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

Comments

I assume no responsibility for any comments made by any users or viewers of this website.  Comments made are the opinions and thoughts of the person that made them and hold no connection to me.  However, by submitting them you grant me the right to use them how I wish in the future.  I reserve the right to remove any comments that are abusive, irrelevant, inappropriate or generally not supportive of this website.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
